This model recreates tank No. 332 of the elite "Totenkopf" division during the Third Battle of Kharkiv in March 1943. This operation marked the Wehrmacht's last victorious "blitzkrieg" on the Eastern Front, with SS divisions serving as the primary strike force in brutal urban combat. Dragon has captured a unique technical milestone for this release: a vehicle that achieved peak firepower while still maintaining the clean, agile silhouette of the earlier series, unencumbered by extra armor plates.

Did you know? This specific model is a rare example of a late-production Ausf. G, capturing a fleeting "technical window" from the spring of 1943. It is a true hybrid of eras: while equipped with the ultimate long-barreled KwK 40 L/48 gun—capable of knocking out T-34s from extreme ranges—it still features the older double-leaf turret hatches. During the intense street fighting in Kharkiv, tankers found these hatches impractical and slow to close when under fire from nearby buildings. The combination of the long L/48 barrel, the absence of side skirts, and the Panzergrau (dark grey) finish makes this model a perfect snapshot of a time when German armor reached its peak efficiency before the transition to the heavier, bulkier designs.
