The F310B was the first Ferrari of the new era truly capable of fighting for the title at every stage. In this car, Michael Schumacher worked a near-miracle, taking the fight to the significantly faster Williams-Renault machines. The model’s historical value lies in its depiction of Scuderia’s constant technical evolution: the specific aerodynamic kit and the "barcode" livery reflect the challenging conditions and regulatory constraints of a season whose finale in Jerez became one of the most controversial in sporting history. This car laid the groundwork for Ferrari's future dominance in the 2000s.
Did you know? At the start of the 1997 season, the F310B was so unstable that Schumacher compared it to a "bucket of bolts." However, the legendary designer Ross Brawn, who joined the team mid-year, introduced updates for every race. By the end of the season, the car had become so fast that Michael almost snatched the title, despite Ferrari being nearly a second per lap slower than Williams at the start of the year.
